The last ever High End Munich took place in May 2025 and members of team Peter Tyson were there to check out as much as we could, from fantastic upcoming products by brands we deal with, to the weird and wonderful experiments by a multitude of manufacturers.
We love going to High End Munich each year, it’s the biggest show for us to meet with brands and get a scope on everything coming.
Each of us saw an array of stands and set ups that impressed us, all of which would be impossible to list in full. So, we carefully selected a few of our top finds at the final High End Munich.
Don’t worry, High End isn’t gone for good; it’s just moving to ACV Vienna in Austria from next year.
Here's our top picks from High End Munich 2025:
Linn Klimax Solo 500
As the UK’s biggest dealer of Linn products, we were all keen to get a proper look and listen of the brand new Klimax Solo 500 Mono Amplifier and they were well worth the hype.
A stunningly compact package that borrows from the tech in the enormous by comparison Klimax Solo 800 and delivers suitably impressive power to any speakers you want to throw at them.
Fans of the original 500 Solo Amplifiers that were first introduced in 1999 will want to check these out.
You can find out more about the new Klimax Solo 500s in our blog here.
Esoteric and Marten
One of Luke Tyson’s highlights was the Esoteric Grandioso system running through Marten Quintet 2 speakers as one of the more detailed and effortless sounding set ups of the weekend. He said it was “Japanese engineering and audio reproduction at its finest”.
It’s a great example of a full-blooded high-end hi-fi system that brings two great brands together to produce a eye widening musical experience.

Eversolo
Eversolo continues to go from strength to strength as they consistently impress with their new product releases. They are shaking up the industry a bit and doing so in a very short space of time.
Our own Thomas Graham thought the new Z10 DAC & T8 Streaming Transport on show at High End Munich were the products that excited him most. What we saw were just prototypes but we have high hopes for both of these.
“However,” Tom says “their new Play Streaming Amp and Play CD Edition all-in-one units will likely be well received at very competitive price points.” These new one box units pack a serious punch of tech with similar capabilities to the WiiM Amp Ultra. The best thing with the Play is the ability to browse streaming music libraries with the touch screen on the front of the player, which the WiiM cannot do.

Pro-Ject
It’s impossible to ignore the Pro-Ject stand at High End Munich, it’s a show in of itself with our team spending time taking it all in. With the full line up of their proprietary MM and MC cartridges blown up to theme park sized models and a wealth of products from floorstanding speakers to their on the go Travel Set which is literally a hi-fi in a box, there was a lot to see.
But Matt Tyson was won over by the limited-edition action in the turntable department. We recently got the new AC/DC turntable in at Peter Tyson. Now Pro-Ject are set to release two special edition record players, one celebrating 75 years of Charlie Brown and Snoopy and another boldly lit up to honour the one and only Elvis.
Lots of fun and the usual Pro-Ject sound mastery on show.

IAG
Every year we all make a bee line for our friends at IAG – they are home to brands like Wharfedale, Audiolab, Mission and more but this year everyone in the team’s ears pricked when we saw and heard the Quad demo.
The new Platina range which is coming soon coupled with their ESL universally impressed the team.
However, we be remiss to not mention the Audiolab 9000 system on the new Wharfedale Evo 5.4’s was amazing and shows what performance levels can be achieved at reasonable costs. Alongside this flagship system was the D7 & D9 DAC at the back of the room, which we are incredibly excited to get our mitts on.
Klipsch Ojas Speakers
Last but by no means least are the Klipsch Ojas speakers designed in conjunction with the legendary fashion/equipment visionary Devon Turnbull. These 2-Way Multicell Speakers sounded incredible according to Matt. So incredible in fact he’s happy to say that these limited-edition speakers are coming to the UK as a Peter Tyson exclusive soon!

The Rest
There’s a mountain of showcases at High End Munich that could have made the list, but we’d be here all day. So, here’s a few notable mentions from our team:
• MBLs Radialstrahler System 101 X-Treme MKII with THE most unique design going
• ESDs KunPeng which just put mega smiles on every audiophile’s face whilst being simultaneously making us cry at the price tag
• In the Harman room was the new Summit series of JBL loudspeakers which sounded sublime
That’s all for this year... As with every year, we’ve only scratched the surface of this huge show. We can’t wait to see some of these and more appearing at Peter Tyson in the coming weeks and months.
