26th September is a big date for Linn, with the launch of THREE new products:
119 & 150 loudspeakers and new Selekt DSM Classic Hub. Let’s explore all three…
First, the speakers:
119 - 2-way, compact, bookshelf, £2500
150 – 3-way, floorstanding, larger sibling, £5500
First thing to note is that these are passive, non-Exakt speakers. They’re designed for any system, but can still be easily upgraded to Linn Exakt, if that’s the route you choose. This is a direct result of feedback from retailers and customers alike and it’s great to see Linn listening and acting upon it. Whilst there is no doubting the brilliance of Linn’s Exakt technology, it’s a somewhat exclusive club.
119 and 150 on the other hand, are wholly inclusive. They are for anyone and any system - ‘standard’ passive loudspeakers, driven by off-board amplification. But, as you might expect from Linn, they are far from ‘standard’.
Featuring much of the tech developed for Linn’s flagship Klimax 360 speakers, 119 & 150 are all about entertaining, engaging playback across all musical genres: energetic yet refined, as true to the original recording as possible.
They are similar-sized to the outgoing Majik 109 and 140 speakers, but of a quality level so improved that Linn has dropped its hierarchal naming system (Majik – Selekt - Klimax), in favour of just 119 and 150.
Both models partner perfectly with Selekt DSM, their 2- and 3- way designs allowing easy upgrade to fully Aktiv/Exakt playback via additional amplifier and DAC modules.

Shared features include:
- Drive unit design and positioning from Klimax 360s - mounted at the very front of the baffle, with no grille, minimising occlusion and improving excursion.
- 19.55mm soft dome Sonomex tweeter and 16cm bass driver with Nextel-coated paper diaphragm.
- Magnetic-mounted trim piece, representing vinyl record grooves, and electro-formed Linn logo tweeter guard, also inspired by 360s.
- Lower-order crossovers designed for signal purity and lending the speakers speed and dynamism.
- Available in Satin Black, White, Walnut or Oak veneered finish.
119 bookshelf:
- Continuing Linn’s long history of outstanding speakers that bely their size – think Kan, Katan, 109s…
- Rear-ported to deliver high-performance bass
- Bass augmentation filter further improves bass performance when fed from a Linn DSM.
- Optional black or silver pedestal stands.
150 floorstander:
- Down-firing ports produce impactful and omnidirectional bass, reducing interaction with walls
- Additional 19cm bass driver
- Sits on raised plinth, aluminium upgrade plinth available 2025

New Classic Hub 2024
Linn Selekt DSM has been ripping up established principles of high-end audio since 2018 with its unique ‘build your own’ modularity. Pick your chassis, DAC performance level, then functionality via additional cartridges.
